The number one name in smart phones is Apple but when it comes to smart watches Android Wear has a firm grip on the market. When it comes to the Apple watch what should you expect? Probably not what you see when you look at a smart watch running Android Wear.
Android Wear devices are meant to run the same operating systems no matter what watch you are using that makes it easier to program for the device. Unlike these devices, the Apple Watch will be using its own operating system. This is similar to what Samsung tried with the Galaxy Gear Neo watch and their Tinzen operating system. Samsung found out quite quickly that running your own and new operating system for you watch can be difficult. Apple has been playing its cards close as it has developed its smart watch but it isn't expected to have the same problems Samsung has had.
Apple has been known for creating benefits for getting people to program for its devices but with how close it has been playing its cards don't expect there to be a tone of apps right when the watch is launched. Some of the first apps to be available will be from Target, SPG, Nike, Citi, and MLB.

What can you expect the Apple watch to do when it is launched?

It will attempt to launch new means of communication. It should have all the normal phone and texting capabilities of other smart watches but apple has been trying its best to add in new features. Some of those included features will be texting your heartrate, texting a tapped pattern, and/or texting drawings. Expect Apple to try other new things in the smart watch world but do not expect it to be too revolutionary out of the box because it is Apple's first smart watch.
You should also expect the watch to be pricey and not available until at least mid-summer of 2015. Despite the high price points with the highest being $12000. As of last count the Apple watch has been pre-ordered into summer 2015, depending on where you are and who you are ordering the new watch from, wait times have reached into August.
Wall Street analysts estimate that Apple will sell over 8 million of their new smart watches and possibly as many as 40 million.

Will the Apple Watch change the world? Or is it just another fad?

With the release of the Apple Watch many people are wondering if it will actually catch on. A study concluded that over half (around 68%) of Americans had little to no interest in buying an Apple Watch. Many view the smart watch as a passing fad, others believe that the Apple Watch itself was too hyped up for the features it has. The Apple Watch does display a good selection of features but most of them are already available in other devices out there.
It is true that the Apple watch comes in a lot of configurations, colors, and designs, are these designs really worth it? The base price of the watch starts off at $349, what many people pay for their phone if they pay anything. The most expensive watch costs over $17,000 for the Watch Edition. At this price the number of people who can afford what one would think is the base edition is very slim. Many of the devices developed by competitors are lower in price.
What Apple needs to do in order to make the Apple Watch more than a fad is to manage to captivate people with the watch. What we have yet to see from it is an iPhone style rush to get to the stores to purchase an Apple Watch. Apple isn't out of chances though to get more users onto the Apple Watch boat. Releasing updates that add more features or reducing prices will surely bring more people to Apple to find a watch.
Time will be the main decider in whether the Apple Watch will catch on but a lot of people around the world are thinking that it will be just another fad. The cool factor has to wear off for those that want it and when that does if there is still enough people wanting the device we will know that the Apple Watch is more than just a fad. Too many companies beat Apple to the punch. Additionally, Apple's price range puts it out of reach for the majority of the population. It is more of a fashion accessory than a watch.

iPhone 6: Overview and Practical Review

Apple has come out with their latest generation of iPhone and you want to know if you should upgrade. The answer to that burning question almost entirely depends on what you are looking for in your smartphone. There are some areas where Apple has definitely improved on its previous product and some where the improvements are either marginal or superfluous.
I purchased the new iPhone 6 and have had the opportunity to use it for everyday normal activities for about a week now. This article won’t be a review of the technical specs that have been plastered all over the internet since Apple’s announcement of the new phones and iOS 8, but instead a real user’s thoughts about how the new hardware and software work in everyday life.
The first thing you notice is the size. The phone feels lighter in your hand, it is thinner and sleeker, and the face is bigger. The larger screen did take a little bit of getting used to, and I noticed a few more errors than usual in typing the first few days, but overall I like it. If you use your phone as your primary web browser as a lot of people do now, it definitely helps to have the bigger screen for surfing and reading.
I was a little skeptical of the larger display at first but I’m finding that I’m liking it more than I thought I would (as long as it doesn’t bend in my pocket. No issues yet, fingers crossed). It’s obvious that a lot of the apps aren’t optimized for the bigger screen yet and are instead just a magnified version of the apps from the 5 generation, I’m sure those tweaks will come.
To me, I didn’t notice a huge difference in the picture quality. It is better, but it isn’t really too noticeable until you get to the new camera features in iOS 8. The slow-mo camera is a real cool thing to play around with and the time lapse feature can be a great way to capture a night’s worth of memories or just make a cool video.
I’ve found the battery life to be about the same as the iPhone 5. I’m still not thrilled with the battery life. I had a charging case on my 5 and most likely will be purchasing one for my iPhone 6.
Ok, I know I’m late to the party on this one, but I love the fingerprint recognition. I upgraded from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6 and skipped the 5s, so this is my first experience with it. I know it’s a tiny little detail, but you don’t realize the beauty of both feeling secure and not having to type a password until you try it.
I have noticed speed and responsiveness improvements in this model over the 5 model. I suspect this is a combination of the faster hardware combined with the fact that my 16GB iPhone 5 was completely maxed out on memory. I decided to spend the extra money and get the 64GB this time around hoping it would ease my issues with memory space and speed and so far so good but we’ll see what happens in another year or so.
All in all, I like the phone. I have always been an iPhone user and have never tried Android. Honestly, I see no reason to change and I have always been happy with the experience my iPhone has given me. This new phone and new OS aren’t huge improvements but I really like the product I’ve been using the last week or so. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new smartphone.

Here’s a common dilemma: you have a great idea for an app, but you only have the resources to launch on one platform before you can expand your reach. Which platform do you develop the app for; iOS or Android? I would absolutely choose the iOS operating system first due to its many advantages over the Android platform.  Here are the top reasons that iOS is the initial way to go:
Less Testing
All of the Apple devices run the same operating system for the most part. So you know that any app that you develop for Apple devices will work on any generation iPhone as well as iPad. An app written for an Android operating system would require testing on the hundreds of devices that run an Android operating system. Additionally, since Apple controls the hardware and software, you don't have to worry about differences in screen resolution or graphics processor or support for X, Y, and Z. Fragmentation among iOS users is far less than Android users as well; 33% of Android users are still running some version of Android 2.3.x Gingerbread.
Tablet Usage
iOS is by far the most widely used tablet platform. The iPad dominates the tablet market share when compared with Android devices. If you have an app that you want to be able to run on both tablets and mobile devices, iOS is the way to go.
Hardware
Hardware requirements to run the Android operating system are less than the iOS operating system. This means that you can build a more powerful app that will run faster and more smoothly for the iOS system. Quality should be a priority for the launch of your app.
When it comes down to it, your eventual goal should be to build an app that is compatible with all operating systems for obvious reasons. This will ensure that you get the most exposure and that you are reaching all your needed demographics. When it comes to first launching your app, however, iOS is the way to go. This will give you the needed time and information to work out the kinks in your app before you launch it globally.

Why do iPhone users think they are "too good" for Androids?

Why do iPhone users think they are "too good" for Androids?

Why do iPhone users think they are "too good" for Androids?

A majority of the people who switch to using iPhones or have used iPhones since their release would never think of getting an Android device. They put off the air to many of their friends that they are too good for an Android powered device. Both phones have their followings and Android users also back their phones. Why though do a lot of coffee-shop iPhone users think that they are too good for Androids? There are several reasons that this may be true.
First, Apple took the smartphone world by storm when it was first released. It spent a lot of money in marketing and it worked, really well. Apple was able to get its teeth into the American market and people just won't stop buying Apple devices. Part of this may be out of habit. For some people an Apple device is all they know so they assume it is better than anything else on the market.
Apple products cost more. The one thing that Apple is known for, even among some of its users, is its price. Apple has released a smart watch (Apple Watch Edition) that has an amazing $10,000 price tag for the entry line model and can go all the way up to $17,000. With such high prices it is obvious that Apple is catering to the richer population around the world. By buying the higher priced devices people feel like they are better than the people who pay less for their phones. As documented by Dan Lyons on readwrite Apple users have developed a mindset where if you do not own a Apple device you own a sub-par device.
The tech news industry has done little to help with the iPhone users view of other devices or of Android users themselves. In an Article on Gizmodo by Sam Biddle he states that "Android is popular because it's cheap, not because it is good." He uses references to a Samsung ad where a lower-income American family is using a Galaxy Note 2. He implies that because this family can afford it, anyone can. We do not agree with this statement by any means, but it's possible someone out there does.
With public claims like this and the foothold that Apple has been able to grab in the United States it's not hard to see why Apple users think they are better than everyone else. It seems to be that it is human nature to shun all those that are different from you and it turns out that applies to phone ownership too.

How to Get Root Access to Your Android Phone

v

Step 1 Back Up Your Android

First of all download Android Root software from this Link
If you don't want to take risk of losing data while rooting, you'd better back up your Android first. There are many official backup tools you can choose according to your phone brand, such as Samsung Kies, HTC Sync Manager, Sony PC Companion, Motorola Migrate, and so on. If you want an easier one, Phone Transfer will be a good choice. No matter you choose which backup tool, you can back up your Android to keep your files save.

Step 2 Connect Android Phone to PC

After installing Android Root on your Android, you will be asked to connect your Android to the computer. And this interface will be what you get:

Connect Android to Computer

After your Android smart phone detected successfully, the program will start indentifying your device as the below interface shows to check if your device has been rooted or not.
Identify Android Device

Step 3 Detect Android Device
If your device never been rooted, it would start to detect it and check if the phone model is supported or not. Only if it can be supported, you can continue the process.

Detect Android Device

Step 4 Root Your Android Smart Phone
Here's the last but important step – rooting. You just need to simply click "Root Now" to have your Android phone rooted. The rooting process may take you some time, just wait for it patiently and when the the process is done, it will display the message telling you the rooting process is finished.

Root your Android Phone

And that's it. After successfully root your Android with Android Root, you are allowed to mute notifications of Android apps, remove bloatware, move applications to SD card and prolong the battery lifespan of your Android. By the way, Android Root allows you to root your Sony Xperia, Samsung and even root your HTC One, etc. It is a nice tool for most phone brand. If you are not sure whether your devices are supported, you can download it and connect your device first. You will get a note that your device is not supported after the connections.
